Critical PATH - CANCELLED -

GM:  Brandon Brylawski

System:  Theatre-Style/Parlor LARP

9 Players, ages 18+

3 hours

Players Should Bring: Wear black shirt and pants. No experience needed.
Warnings:  Dark themes include death, grief, depression, anxiety, infidelity, and fear of the unknown.

DATELINE: Cape Canaveral, 2043 - Faster-than-light Travel Possible!

“We dedicate this voyage to children around the world,” billionaire philanthropist Killian Shepard said as he and his small crew of researchers boarded their experimental craft. “It is their future we hope to secure.”

Critical Path is a game of intense, interpersonal drama and shifting perspectives set aboard the Victoria II, a prototype starship on its maiden voyage. Join the crew as they race to the edge of possibility, pushing the boundaries of knowledge - of themselves and the universe around them.

Note: This game contains intense interpersonal drama, and mature, angst-ridden themes. It is not for children and should not be taken lightly. It is low-mechanics. Players who primarily like problem-solving will not enjoy this game. Everyone else will have a blast. Just strap in and enjoy the ride (but don’t say we didn’t warn you).

Hammer Down! .. to the Giant Disco Ball

Game Master:     Jay Law

System:   Tabletop RPG - Retrostar

3-7 Players

3 hours

Players Should Bring: No experience necessary, but it's safe to say that a sense of humor is.

Throw cheesy 1970s sci-fi television like Battlestar Galactica (and especially the desperately bad Galactica 1980), Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, Jason of Star Command, into a blender with classic 70s anti-authoritarian and socially conscious common man Robin Hooding like Convoy, Smokey and the Bandit, and BJ and the Bear and you get this insane mashup.

Here, the players will take the role of long haul space truckers rebelling against the totalitarian rule of The Administrator who keeps The City gripped in fear and terror of his robotic legions who punish violations with violence and death.

The system Retrostar is designed around the principle of emulating the tongue-in-cheek nature of 1970s sci-fi television series. So slip into your gold and silver lamé jumpsuits cut just-a-little-too-low for both men and women, pop into your disco boots, and strap on your proton blaster while you climb into your space rig, and get ready for some heroic do-gooding!

System:   Tabletop RPG - D&D 5E

Special Note:
This game will run for 6-8 hours, carrying over from the Morning
into the Afternoon sessions, with a break for lunch.

4-7 Players

6-8 hours

Know this: No one survives the pit. Don't come to the table expecting your character to live. I ran the original Pit under John's guidance 3 times and completely wiped all 3 tables.

[A sequel to The Burgundy Pit written by John Corradin. The module was originally run as the final for a D&D tournament at Penn Con in 1978. No one survived the module that day, or whenever it has been run since.]

It's been over 30 years since Ty'Rednit and his group of rag-tag adventurers embarked on their quest down into the Burgundy Pit at the behest of a wizard benefactor, sent there to seek out a mystical object stolen by the wizard's rival. Only one member of the group survived that fateful descent into the Pit, but when he returned to civilization he was a gibbering lunatic. Despite treatment he would only babble over and over nonsense about "the crown" incessantly.

Dark days have fallen over the land since that time, and a powerful new need has arisen to once again descend into the Pit. Dare you answer this call to adventure? I think you dare not...

Pre-gens will be provided. Will need dice. Experience with 5e preferred but not necessary.
